Our flowering branches class last Thursday night was so much fun. We had a wide variety of flowers to choose from as well as several branches including a petite white magnolia and a beautiful bi-color pink & white quince.
I used a coral quince blossom along with salmon godetia, reddish French tulips, variegated bush ivy, dianthus and spray roses.
After my demo everyone got to work on their designs.
Students took their time choosing just the right blooms for their compositions. Sometimes you have to try a few flowers to find the right complement.
My favorite thing about these classes is seeing the variety of color combinations that students make from the same materials. Look at these beautiful compositions…
